LINDSAY Unionized workers at Lindsay Central East Correctional Centre are vowing to take action against the jail management following the dismissal of five provincial bailiffs at the facility Wednesday (Dec. 9).

Chris Butsch, president of OPSEU Local 368, says steps have already been taken to appeal the dismissals to the Grievance Settlement Rob Gronkowski Patriots Jersey Board. It may be up to an arbitrator to decide whether the decision to dismiss the five bailiffs was justified, he says.

Mr. Butsch says the dismissals are related to charges laid against six bailiffs last February.
